Educational Qualification for Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute:
B.E. / B.Tech degree holders in the following engineering discipline with valid GATE Score in Ceramic (Technology / Engg.) / Glass (Technology / Engg.) / Metallurgical Engg. / Materials Engg. / Chemical Engg. / Mechanical Engineering / Nanotechnology / Electronics & Instrumentation / Optoelectronics.

Candidates with B.Tech in Biotechnology with valid GATE Score and subject to securing minimum 85.00 percentile in GATE
Candidates with ME/M.Tech degree or those eligible for direct CSIR-SRF are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for JRF-GATE.
NOTE:
GATE-JRF fellowship is tenable only in CSIR laboratories. Students awarded JRF-GATE Fellowship by CSIR-HRDG, New Delhi, can get registered for Integrated Dual Degree Ph.D Programme in AcSIR only and have to apply separately at AcSIR (www.acsir.res.in) after they receive the JRF-GATE Award Letter from CSIR-HRDG. As the JRF-GATE Fellowship is awarded for pursuing Ph.D degree and, therefore, there will be no automatic exit after M.Tech
