Eligibility Criteria for Tamil Nadu Police:
- Must have passed Plus 2 with Tamil as one of the Subjects.
- Must have passed Government Technical Examination in English Shorthand by Higher Grade / Senior Grade (120 w.p.m).
- Must have passed Government Technical Examination in English Typewriting by Higher Grade / Senior Grade (45 w.p.m).
- Working knowledge in Tamil Shorthand is required.
- The candidate should possess sufficient working knowledge of computer in the day to day functioning of Office.
Age Limit & Relaxation:
- SC / ST / SC(A) – 18 – 37 Years
- BC / BC(M) / MBC/DC – 18 -34 Years
- “Others” [i.e. Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, and BCMs] – 18 – 32 Years
