Eligibility Criteria for All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Gorakhpur:

• A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in section13 (3) of the Act.)
• A recognized post graduate qualification e.g., MD/MS or recognized qualification equivalent here to in the respective discipline/subject. Or
• M.Ch. for surgical super specialty and D.M. for Medical Super specialty (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Associate Professor (Reader): –

• Master’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized Institution/ University
•  Registered Nurse and Midwife
•  Eight years’ experience after M. Sc (Nursing) including 05(five) years teaching experience in Nursing.

Age Limit:

• Professor/Additional Professor: –Not exceeding 58 (Fifty-Eight) years as on the last date of the receipt of the application.
• Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor: – Not exceeding 50 (Fifty) years as on the last date of the receipt of the application.’
• Associate Professor (Reader): Upto 50 Years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 05 Years
• OBC: 03 Years
• PwBD : 10 Years
• Government Servant (As per DoPT instruction): 05 years
